Residents of the Desert Highland Gateway Estates and neighboring north Palm Springs areas will have access to weekly medical exams and visits as the result of a $575,000 initiative from the Desert Healthcare District and partners. 

A mobile medical unit, operated and staffed by Borrego Health, will visit the historically Black and underserved neighborhood weekly to provide services including family medicine, women’s health and pregnancy tests, immunizations and physicals for school, HIV/STI testing, COVID-19 testing and labs, according to a press release.

U.S. President Joe Biden on Thursday offered an 18-month “safe haven” to thousands of Hong Kong residents to remain living in the U.S. rather than to face repression by being deported to the Chinese-controlled territory.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) – Democratic Congressional Rep. David Price (NC-4) visited a mobile home park in Chapel Hill on Tuesday to look at improvements residents have made recently and check out the needs they still have.

Mobile County Health Officer Dr. Bernard Eichold, in a statement Thursday morning, “highly recommends” that residents wear a face mask when the are with individuals outside their immediate household.

NEW BEDFORD — A mobile vaccination program will be making its way around New Bedford neighborhoods. 

CIC Health, in partnership with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts announced the launch of “Let’s Get Vaccinated, New Bedford!” The program is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. The goal is to target populations that have yet to receive the COVID-19 vaccine who need it the most, especially those unable to leave their homes.
