Roofing and waterproofing producer GAF Supplies will make investments $146 million in a brand new manufacturing facility in Valdosta, Georgia, state officers introduced in a press launch. Development is scheduled to start this fall, and manufacturing is slated to start out in early 2024. The funding will final over six years and is anticipated to create 135 jobs.

Georgia hosting 2023 5-star Treyaun Webb for unofficial visit

A player who was once on Georgia’s commitment list for the 2023 class said last month that he would be visiting the Bulldogs in June. He’s following through on that Tuesday.

Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.) athlete Treyaun Webb tweeted that he’s back in Athens on Tuesday. At 6-feet 188 pounds, Webb is the nation’s No. 34 overall prospect and No. 4 athlete in the 2023 class per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. He’s the No. 7 overall player in the Sunshine State.

LSU hosting Top 100 Georgia commit CJ Washington for official visit

LSU is hosting 2022 Cedartown (Ga.) linebacker and Georgia commit C.J. Washington for an official visit this weekend, he told Geaux247 on Thursday. The Top 100 prospect on 247Sports has been committed to the Bulldogs since July 2020.

In 2020, the 6-1, 215-pounder made 35 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and six sacks with two forced fumbles while playing all over the defense. He also rushed 73 times for 698 yards and 15 scores.

On 247Sports, he’s the No. 90 overall prospect in the country, No. 9 linebacker in the nation and No. 10 prospect in Georgia.

Rural community in shock after Georgia health officials raid clinic vaccinating teachers

ELBERTON, Georgia — A small Georgia city was still in shock Friday, days after state health workers raided the busiest medical clinic in the county and seized its Covid-19 vaccine supply because staffers had given doses to teachers.
