Lamprey Health Care launches mobile health van

NEWMARKET — Lamprey Health Care’s Mobile Health Unit is now on the road.

The van, which arrived March 10, will help the community health care organization expand services outside of their four walls.

“The Mobile Health Unit will bring our immunizations, testing, and our medical and behavioral health services out into the community, where our patients are,” explained Greg White, chief executive officer for Lamprey Health Care. “We continue to try and find alternative ways to provide high-quality, primary medical care and health-related services. What better way than having the healthcare come to you?”

One of the van’s first assignments will be collaborating with the Nashua Public Health Department and the Seacoast Public Health Network to administer the COVID-19 vaccine in the community.

“At this time, we do not have direct access to the COVID-19 vaccine so we are collaborating with partners to provide increased access to the community,” said Sue Durkin, chief of clinical services.
